JDC Entwine
A Journey of Indian Jewry to the UK
A 6-Month Journey of Connection, Culture & Community
During my six months as Interim UK Community Manager at JDC Entwine, I worked towards three key goals:
😎 Plan and host a summer event focused on Jewish culture and meaningful topics
🌎 Increase awareness of JDC Entwine and its global opportunities within the UK
📈 Grow engagement among young Jewish professionals across the country
Celebrating Indian Jewry & Jewish Diversity in the UK
One of the highlights of my role was designing and hosting an immersive cultural event exploring the rich history of Indian Jewry and celebrating the diversity of the Jewish experience here in the UK.
We welcomed 40 young professionals to Malida in Manor House: A Journey of Indian Jewry—a full house of curious, engaged participants eager to learn about Jewish diaspora communities that rarely take centre stage.
Guest speaker Eylan Ezekiel, co-host of the Who Do Jew Think You Are? podcast, delivered an insightful presentation on the development and movement of Indian Jewish communities. His storytelling gave us all a deeper understanding of both the community’s history and our own connections to global Jewish identity.

By the end of the evening, everyone left with a new appreciation for the Jews of India—and a little more insight into their own roots.
A huge thank you to my US-based team—Arezu Hashemi, Zoe Sadugor, Whitney Levine, Arielle Sokoloff, Emma, and Tanya—for making this event possible and for being incredible partners across time zones.
Special acknowledgements to Sydney, Deetza, Eli, Serena, Nathan, and my family for their inspiration and support.
And a big shoutout to Benjamin Furman for the fantastic photography! 📷
